It’s Official: Pregnant!
July 9, 2008Danialle just received the results from her blood test taken yesterday. Holy shit! We first found out Friday (4th of July!) morning when Danialle took a pregnancy test. So, 5 pregnancy tests and a blood test later, the officical verdict is POSITIVE.
We have been together for 12 years (married for 10 years), I figure it’s a good time to start spawning. Ha ha!
My mom would be soooo happy right now.

Fireworks
July 7, 2008Danialle and I traveled to Indiana last weekend to celebrate our Day of Independence (last day?*) with family and fireworks. Danialle’s cousin hosted a 4th of July party for the family. It wouldn’t be right to celebrate such a glorious American occasion without objects that explode with burning colors and ear-ringings sounds, so a handful of the guys went in pursuit of fireworks before sunset - $300 dollars worth. It was a blast! Ha ha! No fingers or eyes were lost, but a couple of burns and blisters were suffered.
The image below is a box of aerial shells that are launched into the sky via mortar. Very cool!
*Danialle and I found out some very exciting news Friday morning before leaving for Indiana. I’m going to keep it hush-hush until it is declared official. Stay tuned for the scoop!

Time Out For A Picnic
June 24, 2008Danialle and I met-up with a photographer sent by Time Out Chicago magazine at Rosehill Cemetery and Mausoleum on Sunday to shoot some images of us for an upcoming article about our Chicago Cemetery Tour. We started the shoot in front of John G. Shedd’s family crypt, in the heart of the mausoleum, and then went outside to do some corny walking through the cemetery shots. It was strange to be on the other side of the glass, but totally a blast.

Later that day, we went to Graceland Cemetery with some friends and family for a picnic on Chicago architect Daniel Burnham’s island gravesite. After the picnic, we all took a stroll around the cemetery lake to view the monuments that surround its parameter.
My nephew put some miles on his feet, running erratically throughout the graveyard with his magic wand (a stick). The image below is of him visiting the grave of William Kimball, founder of the Kimball Piano and Organ Company.
